Former Celtic Flop Makes Scottish Football Return

NADIR CIFTCI has returned to Scottish football after putting pen-to-paper with the bottom of the league side, St Johnstone.

The move of Celtic’s former number 7 was announced on Wednesday afternoon three years after he left Celtic Park. Aged 29, Nadir still has years left of playing and his club will be hoping the striker can start hitting the back of the net to help lift the club from the foot of the table.

Previous to this move, Ciftci was playing in Turkey with second-tier side MKE Ankaragucu. In the summer the forward was linked with a move that would see him return to Tayside and sign for Dundee. [The Courier]

His time at Celtic was mainly filled with loan spells after failing to play to the standard expected of him. He arrived in the same January transfer window as Stuart Armstrong and Gary Mackay-Stevens when Ronny Deila was the manager at Paradise.
