Former Celtic flop Shane Duffy continued his recent upturn in form, scoring the opener on his home return in Brighton’s 2-0 victory over Watford.
The Irishman returned to the Seagulls in the summer after a failed loan spell in Glasgow.
After his poor performances in his time with the Hoops, not many were sure what to expect when he made his return in the English Premier League.

However, in his first two games, the 29-year old has been subject to heavy praise after putting in two good performances in the season’s opening games and scoring in yesterday’s victory.

Last campaign, there was a lot of expectations when Duffy made the move to his boyhood heroes, and he couldn’t have got off to a better start scoring in his first two games.
However, it went all downhill from there, and fans were left extremely disappointed with not only his performances but also the squad as a whole under Neil Lennon.
I suppose it just goes to show once again that the Scottish Premiership isn’t quite as bad as some English fans claim it is.
