Celtic went under a vast array of changes over last summer. Hugely influential Aussie manager Ange Postecoglou departed for Spurs with Brendan Rodgers making a return to the dugout.
Key players, who had just won a treble, Jota and Carl Starfelt, also departed the club in what was a period of unexpected transition. During that timeframe, there was also another leaver in Anton McElhone.

Appointed Head of Sports Science at the club in September 2021, McElhone held the role until June 2023, when he moved on (LinkedIn). He had been out of work since then up until yesterday.
Then, it was announced he had taken up the position of Head of Academy Coaching at Scottish Championship side Queen’s Park. He was appointed to the role by Tommy McIntyre, ex-Celtic B manager.
There is a Celtic connection in the Southside club. Currently, the likes of Ben McPherson and Mackenzie Carse are on loan at the Spiders, and McElhone’s addition to the set-up has only furthered the link between the Glasgow sides.
