Former Celtic Coach Eyeing Ibrox Star – Report

Former Celtic coach Chris Davies has set his sights on Rangers’ Connor Goldson as he embarks on his managerial career with Birmingham City.

According to reports from SunSport, Davies, who had previously opted to join Tottenham Hotspur under Ange Postecoglou instead of reuniting with Brendan Rodgers at Celtic, is now keen to bolster his new squad following Birmingham City’s drop to League One.

The move to target Goldson emerges as Davies looks to inject some experience into his team to navigate the challenges of League One.

Goldson, who found himself out of favour towards the end of last season under Rangers manager Clement, might view this interest as a timely escape route.

It would see another serial loser leave Ibrox after another season that will go down as a failure, but it’s a big position that the Ibrox club need to fill this summer while they’re not already exactly blessed with talent at the back.
