Former Celtic Champions League Hero Retires

FORMER Celtic Champions League Hero Scott McDonald has announced he has hung up his boots to concentrate on media work going forward.

The Australian striker played three seasons at Celtic Park where he scored that last minute winner against AC Milan in the Champions League.

McDonald scored some memorable goals for the bhoys after signing for Gordon Strachan.

The player will also be known as the guy who scored a double to break Celtic fans hearts in the final day of 2005 when a Martin O’Neill team which was out on its feet succumbed to a late Motherwell onslaught to lose the title – still a sore one as we type that.

McDonald made 125 appearances for the club scoring 60 goals in his time winning two trophies in the process.
