Former Celtic Champions League Hero Announces Retirement

FORMER Celtic Champions league hero and current Hamilton Accies ace Massimo Donati has today called time on his playing career his club has announced.

The statement reads:

Massimo has agreed with the club to cancel his current playing contract.

He has been a model professional within the Club and we are delighted that he has started his coaching and management career within our Academy.

He has been an outstanding player at the highest level and we have benefitted from all his experience and the standards he set.

Massimo now enters the next phase of his career which I am sure will see him becoming very successful in Management.

Massimo Donati signed for Celtic under Gordon Strachan but never really hit the heights that many thought he would. His finest moment in a Hoops jersey arguably came against Shakhtar Donetsk when the player slotted home the winning goal in the dying minutes.

Massimo still loves the club and has got a Celtic tattoo since leaving the club.

We wish him all the best in his retirement.

Hail Hail!
