Former Celt Creates EPL Debut History

Former Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard created English Premier League history, scoring 28 seconds into his debut for new club Crystal Palace.

The Frenchman, who departed the Hoops on deadline day, was a late substitute for Patrick Viera’s side. Coming on with six minutes of regular time to play, Edouard changed the game, adding a double to secure all three points in a 3-0 win over Tottenham.

With that goal, Edouard became the quickest player to score on his debut.

Of course, many Celtic fans weren’t surprised to see the 23-year old make an immediate impact in his first game, with the ability he showed during his four-year stay at the club.

Despite them leaving the club, it is always nice to see former players who have given a lot to the club go down south and prove the quality that Celtic can produce.

This likely won’t be the last time we hear Edouard’s name this season, that is for sure.
