Former Celt and Treble Treble Star Forced to Self Isolate

Former Celtic defender and treble treble star Dedryck Boyata is today going into self isolation with the rest of his teammates as Hertha Berlin confirm one of their players tested positive for the Coronavirus.

Boyata left Celtic last summer after four years at the club. The Belgian let his contact run out before he signed a bumper deal with Hertha Berlin. His last game for Celtic was against Rangers* at Celtic Park with the team winning 2-1 on the day.

The defender has been doing well since his move helping Hertha Berlin to 13th in the table.

Since the football shut down, players across Europe have been on alert for the virus.

Today, Hertha have announced the isolation members and it serves as a timely reminder why football might not be back for a long while.

We wish Dedryck and his teammates all the best.
