“For Old Time’s Sake” – Familiar Face Revisits after Celtic Title Win

Celtic’s fourth consecutive league title has brought the congratulations flooding in from all corners, but one message in particular brought a smile to supporters’ faces thanks to a bit of tongue-in-cheek nostalgia.

TV personality Rylan, who became a familiar face to Scottish football fans through his catchphrase “cinched it” during the SPFL’s previous partnership with cinch, couldn’t resist reviving the line as the Hoops wrapped up their latest title triumph.

Despite Cinch’s sponsorship ending this season and the league now under the banner of William Hill, Rylan took to social media to offer his congratulations in the only way he knows how. Posting on Twitter, he wrote: “For old times sake … cinched it lads.”

That’s it. The league is confirmed now, the table couldn’t say what Rylan did!

It wasn’t so long ago when Celtic fans had their notifications on for the celeb, waiting for him to hit the line.

Celtic’s 5-0 demolition of Dundee United at Tannadice confirmed their 13th league title in 14 seasons, and while there have been plenty of messages from former players, pundits, and supporters, Rylan’s tribute stands out for its perfect blend of humour and nostalgia.

It seems some catchphrases never go out of style.

Hopefully, Rylan can deliver the same tweet next season.
