Daniliuc, who is currently under contract with Salernitana until 2026, is also part of the Austrian squad for the upcoming Euros.
Florian Plettenberg reported Celtic’s ‘concrete interest’, but said that his loan club, RB Salzburg, are keen to keep him in Austria.

Celtic’s interest in strengthening their defensive line is evident, as neither Gustaf Lagerbielke nor Maik Nawrocki, both signed last summer, have secured a regular spot in the starting eleven.
Instead, Liam Scales has been a consistent partner for Carter-Vickers in defence. With Lagerbielke expressing a desire to leave Celtic just 12 months after his arrival and Nawrocki declining a loan move to Legia Warsaw to remain at Celtic and fight for his place, the addition of Daniliuc could provide a much-needed boost to the team’s defensive options.
