Celtic ran riot on Flag Day, putting Kilmarnock to the sword in a dominant 4-0 victory.
Brendan Rodgers’ men carried their pre-season form into competitive action as they kicked off their title defence in style.

It was an afternoon full of positives for gaffer Rodgers, who was pleased with many aspects of his team’s performance.
Several players hit the ground running in the new campaign, and from the manager’s team selection yesterday, we learned a thing or two.
Indeed, centre-back Gustaf Lagerbielke was not in the squad at all. The Swede has been linked with a Parkhead exit this summer and given the Flag Day team, one assumes it is only a matter of time before he departs Celtic.
Maik Nawrocki was also not named among the nine substitutes on Sunday. He just returned to training this week following an injury which caused him to miss the majority of pre-season, though.
Unlike Lagerbielke, he could still be in the manager’s plans after a stop-start first 12 months in Glasgow. It has been widely reported Nawrocki wants to stay and fight for his place at Celtic, which bodes well.
