First Team Celtic Duo in Scottish Cup Final Fitness Race

Celtic have two more SPFL games to play before the curtain comes down on the league season and the preparation begins for the Scottish Cup Final.

The bhoys last two games have not been the best performances, a defeat at Ibrox and a draw with St Mirren at home haven’t filled the fans with confidence.

The league has been won and the intensity of the players doesn’t seem to be there at the moment.

With the Cup final looming, there are TWO Celtic players fans are desperate to hear an update on; Alistair Johnston and Aaron Mooy.

Alistair Johnston

AJ hasn’t played since the semi-final of the Scottish Cup when he went off injured in Celtic’s 1-0 win. He was initially on crutches but the Canadian has been seen walking fine since then, but he hasn’t been in training. Alistair hasn’t been completely ruled out of the cup final yet, leaving fans wanting to know his status.

Aaron Mooy has missed the last two games with an injury that’s been kept pretty quiet. Again there’s no timeline for his return, but Ange hasn’t ruled the Australian out of the final two games.

We should hopefully find out on Wednesday if Aaron is back in the fray, but an update on Johnston would be great.
