First Half Injury Blow for Celtic

There’s been a first half blow for Celtic in their friendly against Bristol City.

Having worked his way back to full fitness, Mikey Johnston got back into the starting XI for the final game down south. The player lasted less than half an hour before he had to come off injured again.

Mikey’s problems with injuries have been well documented at this point. The midfielder has been threatening to break into the side for the past two years plus but his body has let him down.

Coming off against Bristol City will be another blow for Mikey. We’re hoping it’s just a precaution.

If the Celtic academy star can’t find a regular amount of fitness, he will be left behind by this side, unfortunately. Mikey has the attributed to be a really exciting player but he will be no good to anyone if he is on the treatment table.

Fingers crossed he’s back fit for Saturday against Preston.
