Celtic have been praised by their feeder team Admira Wacker. It comes after a delegation from the club took in the Hoops’ 2-1 Champions League win over Feyenoord last week.
As well as this, they got an inside insight into what goes on at Lennoxtown. Their manager, Thomas Pratl, visited along with technical director Gerhard Fellner.
The latter was full of praise for the Scottish champions: “The way the Celtic family welcomed us was very impressive”, he said (Glasgow Times). “Every door was open – we were able to get an idea in all areas. The winning mentality that is instilled in everyone in the club from an early age is impressive.”

Currently, left-back Matthew Anderson and ‘keeper Tobi Oluwayemi are on loan at Admira. It was revealed that Brendan Rodgers was keen to hear about their progress. Fellner said: “The manager Brendan Rodgers personally asked about how loan players Matthew Anderson and Tobi Oluwayemi were getting on. For me, it’s a sign that both of them are not just numbers that were sent abroad somewhere.”
The partnership between Celtic and Admira Wacker only transpired over the summer. It is hoped it can blossom over the coming years, and that the relationship can be of benefit to both clubs as it progresses.
