Celtic are edging closer to wrapping up a deal for David Turnbull which would end a year long saga on a happy note.

The Motherwell midfielder has come through his op and rehab with flying colours and looks like a player hungry to make up for lost time.

David also has shown loyalty to Motherwell by penning a one -year extension this year so Motherwell would still be able to get a good transfer fee for him after bringing him through the ranks.

Sky sports claim a fee is close to being agreed and the player will likely make the jump before Celtic’s game against the Steelmen on Sunday. There is a scenario where Turnbull could turn out against the players he’s currently training with right now to take on Celtic.
