Fee Agreed: Lagerbiekle Set for Glasgow to Complete Celtic Medical

CELTIC is closing in on the signing of Elfsborg defender Gustaf Lagerbiekle after reports tonight from a very well placed source confirming a fee had been agreed.

Swedish based journalist Anel Avdic, who initially broke the story has on Friday night confirmed the player is set to travel to Glasgow to tie up a move. The fee is believed to be around £3m and will become a record fee received by Elfsborg.

CeltsAreHere spoke to Anel earlier this week about the deal and what Gustat could bring to the team if the deal was to come good. If you want to get the low down on the player, then jump over to Celtsarehere’s Youtube Channel.

Gustaf’s arrival in Glasgow won’t be even a week after Carl Starfelt left the building. The club has acted promptly to ensure they replace Carl, who left for Celta Vigo on Thursday.

Gustaf, 23, has been pushing for the move since Celtic’s interest came to light and it looks now like he’ll get his wish.

The Swedish international will undergo a medical before putting pen to paper on his Celtic deal.

It marks another significant signing for the hoops, who have had a busier summer than many anticipated they would.
