Reports on Sunday evening claim Celtic are closing in on a deal for Japanese defender Yuki Kobayashi ahead of the January transfer window.
Celtic signed THREE Japanese bhoys last January and two out of three of them are both first team players.
Yuki currently plays for Kyogo Furuhashi’s former side Vissel Kobe. Reports in Japan claim a fee has already been agreed [Sponichi Japan].

Ange didn’t dip his toe into the J-League market back in the summer. Considering his his rate from Japan, it makes sense he’d go back for more talent when he sees value.
The defender was a regular for Japan Under 21s but has still to make his full Japan debut.
Celtic currently have CCV, Moritz Jenz, Carl Starfelt and Stephen Welsh as their first team centre-backs. Adding another defender into the mix would be welcome.
The report claims Yuki has already made up his mind about a move to Celtic. We’ll likely hear about any potential move this week. Ange has a pre-match presser before the Real Madrid game where he’s likely to be asked about the link.
