CELTIC has been linked with a move for another Argentine player weeks after signing Alexandro Bernabei.
Ange Postecoglou signed Alexandro to the club and made the defender the first ever Argentine born player to dawn the famous hoops. Now, it’s claimed Celtic could be diving into the same market again, this time for midfielder Fausto Vera. [RecordSport]
Reports back in Argentina has credited the Bhoys with an interest in the player and journalist Roy Nemer has commented on that interest.
Celtic are in the market for a few more players before the end of the current transfer window. It remains to be seen if they will head back to the Argentine market. There’s deals to be had and the rules around South American players coming in have relaxed since Brexit.

Fausto is highly regarded and would likely command a decent sized transfer fee. A loan with an option to buy would likely be Celtic’s ambitions if they’re seriously looking at the midfielder.
Most fans see another centre back, a defensive midfielder and a striker as the most important roles to fill. A defender and a striker might only be possible if we shift Jullien and Ajeti in the coming weeks.
