BRENDAN Rodgers has been in extensive talks with Celtic’s major shareholder Dermot Desmond over a sensational return to the club, with an agreement in principle in place.

Celtic fans are eagerly anticipating the return of Brendan Rodgers as the club’s manager, with some even tracking flights to predict his arrival.
Fans have taken to flight-tracking to follow the progress of the negotiations. Celtic executives Michael Nicholson and Chris McKay were tracked flying to Mallorca to meet with Rodgers on Saturday, and further talks with Desmond in London were also monitored.
The anticipation reached new heights when Desmond’s private jet, aptly named M-Celt, touched down in Glasgow on Tuesday. This has led fans to believe that an official announcement of Rodgers’ return is imminent.
Now, a flight to Mallorca has been tracked, with it set to leave London Luton Airport at 13.15 on Friday and will have a two-hour turnaround before returning to London Luton.
Air Charter Scotland is operating the flight.
The same plane made the same flight on Monday when rumours about Brendan Rodgers returning to the UK kicked off.
The plane will then move to Farnborough, near Reading, for the night. Its movements after that are currently not on the FlightRadar24 app.
Rodgers’ potential return has generated a lot of excitement among the Celtic fanbase, as they hope to see the club continue its winning ways under his leadership. His perfect record during his first spell at the club, winning all seven trophies available, has set high expectations for his second tenure.
As fans eagerly await the official announcement, the flight-tracking saga adds an interesting twist to the unfolding story of Rodgers’ return to Celtic.
