Scottish Football finally looks set to see the return of fans to football grounds after six months of absence, on the 12th of September.
After government talks, it is expected that three trail events will take place on this weekend
As reported by the BBC, two of these games will involve both Glasgow clubs in their respective games. The Hoops are set to take on Ross County away from home that weekend, whilst Rangers will face Dundee United at Ibrox.
It is also expected that another test event, involving other Scottish sides, will be announced closer to the time.
You can’t help but feel, the Celtic board will be slightly disappointed that the return of fans won’t take place at the home of the Scottish Champions, after all the work they have put in the last few months
To the boards credit, they have been in constant talks with the Scottish Government, the SFA and the SRU.
Ultimately though, I am sure they will be happy enough to see the return of fans elsewhere, if it lays the blueprint for the end goal in mind, seeing the return of even more supporters.
