Benjamin Nygren has only just arrived at Celtic, but the Swedish midfielder is already making a big impact both on and off the pitch.

Nygren was impressive in Celtic’s win over Sporting CP, showing energy, skill and a good eye for a pass. He followed that up with another standout performance against Newcastle United. Celtic looked sharp all over the pitch and Nygren was right at the heart of it.
The Newcastle match was Nygren’s first time playing at Celtic Park in front of the supporters. It was a big occasion and he took it all in. Not only did he deliver a strong showing during the game, but he also made time for the fans before and after the match.
Before kick-off, Nygren took a moment to meet fans near the pitch. He spoke to supporters, took photos and signed shirts. It was a simple thing to do, but it showed respect and appreciation for the people who turn up week in, week out.
After the final whistle, he did the same again. He went around the stadium, thanking fans and spending time with them.
I already like the cut of Benjamin Nygren’s jib (to paraphrase Bazza on Clement when he joined Rangers).

These moments might seem small, but they can mean a lot. Supporters remember players who take time for them, especially when those players are new and still settling into life in Glasgow.

Nygren’s actions have not gone unnoticed. Many fans have already taken to him and see him as someone who understands what it means to play for the club.
On the pitch, he looks ready to be a key part of Brendan Rodgers’ plans this season. Off it, he is already showing the right attitude. If he keeps this up, it will not take long before he becomes one of the most popular players at the club.
