It has been a summer of uncertainty so far for Rocco Vata. The teenage forward’s contract at Celtic expired at the end of the season gone by, with his future currently up in the air.
Renowned reliable transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, though, has provided Hoops fans an update about the promising youngster.

On X, he reported that English Championship side Watford has opened talks to sign Vata.
It is said that the forward has received a new contract proposal from Celtic, with discussions ongoing.
Teams including Bologna, Como, and Nottingham Forest have had previous offers for the 19-year-old rejected, with him yet to make a final decision on his permanent future.
On Vata’s mind, and understandably so, will be first-team football. The attacker will likely want guarantees of regular minutes at a decent level wherever he ends up which at his age, is critical for development.
He won’t want to spend another season with Celtic’s B team and rather, want to take his maiden steps into the senior game.
