Celtic’s summer transfer activity continues to unfold, but a move for Dutch defender Xavier Mbuyama now appears unlikely.
However, the club is set to announce the signing of Maik Nawrocki from Legia Warsaw.
Nawrocki’s transfer to Celtic is all but confirmed, with personal terms agreed, a medical passed, and an agreement reached with Legia Warsaw for £4 million. The Polish defender’s arrival will bolster Celtic’s backline and add depth to the squad.

The player has reportedly agreed personal terms with Italian club Sampdoria, who are preparing to launch a €1.5 million bid for him. Mbuyama is said to be “keen” on the move to Italy, making a transfer to Celtic unlikely.

Other than the initial report, which stated he was on Celtic’s list, there are no reports suggesting that Celtic made a move for the player.
