Extra Security Presence at Lennoxtown; Players and Manager at Training Ground

Sky Sports journalist Charlie Paterson has reported that there is extra security presence with more stewarding and two visits from at police with one fan also being turned away from Celtic’s training complex, Lennoxtown this morning.

It was also confirmed that the players are in training as normal, as well as manager Neil Lennon who has come under a lot of pressure after yesterday’s 2-0 loss to Ross County.

Extra security was likely brought in by the club after last night’s protests as a precaution in case other further incidents were to take place.

The atmosphere within the training ground must be very strange for both players and management staff who have come in for a lot of stick for recent performances, going on a run of just two wins in 10 games.

Ultimately, it is not good enough for a club like Celtic to go on a run of form like that. Change is needed at this stage to save our season from becoming even more of a disaster but that shouldn’t resort to violence anywhere today.

We will bring further updates on the matter, once they are released.
