Ex-Premier League Striker ‘Very Keen’ on Celtic Move – Pundit Claims

BBC and PLZ soccer pundit Tam McManus has thrown a left field, cheap, stop gap transfer suggestion onto social media this evening and it’s not going down well with many Celtic supporters.

In what almost looks like an agent speaking out on his clients behalf, McManus talks up a Celtic move for Steven Fletcher – yes, you read that right.

The one that got away all those years ago under Gordon Strachan during the infamous window where we needed a striker and got Willo Flood instead. Fletcher moved down south from Hibernian and has been there ever since, now setting up home back in Scotland – McManus believes Celtic could do a lot worse than signing the 33-year-old front man.

McManus even says the striker wants the move.

Celtic have four strikers on their books at the moment but so much is up in the air with Leigh Griffiths. Bayo has been very prone to injury and Klimala is an unknown quantity.

Could Fletcher play a supporting role?
