Reports on Tuesday morning from RecordSport claimed Eddie Howe has had a chat with former Celtic star and coach Peter Grant about potentially coming on board with him for the Hoops revival.
However, Sunsport report this evening Grant is currently holding talks with Dunfermline about becoming their next manager.
If you haven’t blanked it from your memory, Peter was part of the Tony Mowbray backroom team who completely and utterly blew the rebuild when Gordon Strachan left the building.
The manager and coaching staff didn’t last the season before Neil Lennon would come in and become the caretaker manager.
Howe is bringing in his own staff to head up the rebuild but there is scope for someone close to the club to come in and help do a job.
If Grant is looking to become the Dunfermline manager it would almost rule him out of joining a new look Celtic setup.
Mark Burchill is a name that’s previously came up when Eddie Howe has been mentioned. Mark has been a scout at Bournemouth and the pair know each other well.
