Former Celtic trialist Evan Ferguson could make a temporary exit from Brighton this winter, with the Hoops having just two senior strikers at the club.

Brendan Rodgers did try to strengthen the attacking section in the summer, and even viewed Rocco Vata as a third choice striker before he left the Hoops.

The 20-year-old made a name for himself with a breakout 2022/23 season, scoring 10 goals in 25 matches and attracting interest from Premier League heavyweights Liverpool and Manchester United.
However, things have been on a downward trajectory for the striker, with only three of his nine appearances coming in the starting XI this season.
The now teammate of Matt O’Riley was previously on trial in Glasgow.
Before joining Brighton from Irish side Bohemians in January 2021, he was at Lennoctown.
Celtic currently rely heavily on Kyogo and Idah to lead the line. Both have impressed this season, but one injury could be a massive blow for Celtic.
Whether it is Ferguson or not, you’d imagine that Celtic will be in the market for a striker this January, which could be a big window for Celtic.
