Ex Celtic Target Completes Move To EFL Side

Former Celtic target and Liverpool defender Ben Davies has completed a loan move to English Championship side Sheffield United.

The recently relegated side confirmed the signing of the 26-year old defender on a season-long loan after speculation that several clubs were targeting Davies.

Last January, the defender was famously involved in a ‘transfer saga’ of sorts, which saw him make the move to Premier League giants Liverpool after Celtic had agreed a deal to bring him to Parkhead.

The move to Anfield hasn’t quite worked out for the former Preston defender, as he failed to register a single minute on the park for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

This summer, there were some suggestions that Celtic could make another move to bring Davies to the club on a loan spell.

However, he will now spent the 2021/22 season with Sheffield United as they look to secure an instant bounce back to the English Premier League next season
