Only a few months ago, both Moritz Jenz and Josip Juranovic were training and playing together at Celtic back in Scotland.
Fast forward to February and the pair are meeting up in Germany after their two new sides went head to head. Schalke took on Union Berlin on Sunday afternoon in Germany; playing out a 0-0 draw in the Bundesliga.
Mortiz Jenz played his third game in a row and Schalke registered their third clean sheet in a row. Josip Juranovic was on the bench for Union Berlin and didn’t get on the field at all. The Croatian was playing on Thursday in Union’s Europa League tie.
After the game, the players met up and got a photo with each other, the Celtic link between both players still very fresh.
Juranovic is already a title winner, helping the club to the SPFL trophy last season under Ange Postecoglou. Moritz spent the first six months of this season on loan to Celtic and has played enough to secure a league title medal should Celtic go on and win the league this season.
