O’Riley, formerly with MK Dons, made a remarkable impact in Scottish football since his modest £1.5 million transfer to Celtic in 2022.

This season, he’s taken his game to a new level, adding bags of goals to his performances.

Despite his relatively recent arrival, the 22-year-old signed a new long-term contract last month, binding him to Celtic until 2027.

Fabrizio Romano reported that Celtic are aware of interest from down south, but said it would take a world record fee for the Hoops to sell the midfielder, so over £25 million.

Matt O’Riley, a Danish Under-21 international with six caps, has captured the attention of Brentford, who are looking to bolster their attacking options. The Bees already have a considerable Danish presence, with manager Thomas Frank hailing from Denmark, alongside captain Christian Norgaard and fellow teammates Mathias Jensen, Mathias Jorgensen, Mikkel Damsgaard, and Mads Roerslev.
