EPL Side Set for Celtic Top Talent Raid

English Premier League side Southampton are reportedly ‘keeping tabs’ on Celtic youngster Leo Hjelde.

According to Sun Sport, the 17-year old appears to be attracting interest from the Saints during his loan spell at Premiership side Ross County.

Since joining in January, the Norweigan youngster has featured nine times for the Staggies scoring one goal, playing in a couple of different positions such as central defence and at left-back.

Hjelde joined the club back in 2019 from Rosenborg and at such a young age came with a good reputation.

By going out on loan and getting regular game time with the Premiership side at the age he is currently at it shows that Hjelde is moving in the right direction to fulfil that potential.

County manager John Hughes has been full of praise for the youngster and is certain he will go on to bigger things in the future.

Going forward, Hjelde is probably seen as one of our best prospects. So, it is crucial we do everything we can to convince him to stay and develop as a player at Parkhead.
