The outrage to the Super League is welcome but the people leading the outrage and the clubs screaming foul play and greed are the same ones who quite happily hold the likes of Celtic down when it comes to the European stage.
Former SPL chief Roger Mitchell hits the nail on the head when it comes to the hypocrisy on show.
Greed is not good unless it benefits all clubs in the English league.
Squeezing out the smaller nations for Champions League places and a share of the money pot.
So much anger today in England. Talk about fairness and values of football. WHERE WERE YOU WHEN YOU GOT 4 AUTOMATIC PLACES IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUES WHEN PROPER CHAMPIONS LIKE AJAX AND CELTIC HAD 3 QUALIFYING ROUNDS? This stuff didn’t happen on Sunday. It’s been 25 years.

We have Spurs as an example, going for the Super League and regularly getting into the Champions League when they haven’t even won a trophy since 2008 and not won a league they occupied since the 60s.
Celtic and Scottish football have had to jump through hoops for the privilege of playing in the money-spinning competition because these clubs and leagues demanded more for themselves.
Why is that cash grab and greed okay but the Superleague is a step too far?
The rich want to get richer, the clubs with the most power want more power. They have no interest in the good of the game like many of them are shouting about right now.
The game is gone when you have bang average players being paid a fortune for Sheffield Utd while they charge exorbitant prices to watch those bang average players.
The EPL was always going to eat itself eventually, this is what greed does, they keep wanting more and more.
