Maresca, who has been linked with Celtic, is also reported to have held talks with Leicester City about their vacant managerial position.
According to a report by The Daily Mail, the Italian coach has expressed a preference to continue working in English football, which could be a setback for Celtic.
However, the search for a new Celtic manager appears to be nearing its conclusion.
