Whether you see it as a knee-jerk reaction or well overdue, there are many Celtic fans this morning who have seen enough of Dorus de Vries in goals.
The 37-year-old who has stepped up since Craig Gordon went out on the long term injury list had been growing in confidence in the past few games – then Zenit’s second goal happened.
The long range strike looked saveable and Dorus seemed to misjudge the flight of the ball. After the game, Dorus blamed ‘knuckle ball’ type action on the shot threw him off and was a goalkeepers nightmare.
Last night has leade many to call for Rodgers to drop one of his first Celtic signings for the second time and put Scott Bain in his place.

Watched the second goal from last night again this morning, and De Vries said the ball moved… It genuinely moved as any other shot does, it was absolutely dreadful goalkeeping. Right in the middle of the goal. Step up Scott Bain.

Scott Bain must start in goals for Celtic on Sunday against Aberdeen and for the rest of the season.
Tonight should be De Vries' last game.
For all the Craig Gordon knockers, we needed him tonight— The Big Cup (@lisboninthesun) February 22, 2018
Bain was brought in as purely backup and the manager did not envision a scenario where the Dundee keeper would get meaningful game time. However, could Brendan be set to rethink that come Sunday?
