As important as it is for Celtic to add to their squad this transfer window, offloading fringe players who aren’t in Brendan Rodgers’ plans is equally as critical.

Sead Haksbanovic recently left for Malmo while Rocco Vata’s exit to English Championship outfit Watford was confirmed last Friday.
There are a few other players who could follow the attacking duo out the door this window such as Benji Siegrist and Oh Hyeon-gyu. For the latter, a move to Genk had widely been touted but now, a new side has emerged in the race for his signature.
According to Welsh journalist Ian Mitchelmore on X, Swansea City ‘certainly’ have an interest in Oh. It is said that Celtic are keen to move the 23-year-old on, but a deal could prove tricky.
The striker wouldn’t be the first South Korean to move from Celtic to the English Championship side. Ki Sung-yueng, who is still playing back in his homeland with FC Seoul, made the same switch in the summer of 2012.
The Scottish champions got around £5.8m for the midfielder at the time (Transfermarkt), not too much more than what they may get for Oh, given previous reports about his potential Belgian move.
