BT Pundit Chris Sutton has branded the fact Brendan Rodgers didn’t win manager of the year as ‘embaressing’ after the Irishman made history with Celtic today.
The award went to St Mirren’s Jack Ross as he guided his side to top flight promotion but Sutton feels Brendan being overlooked when a double treble was on the table was silly.
Funny old game… double treble and Brendan Rodgers didn’t win manager of the season… it’s embarrassing really…must be easy making history….

People always try and put the Celtic manager down but the very fact two consecutive trebles have been won is down to his ability to manage.
Ask Ronny Deila and Neil Lennon how easy it is and they didn’t have the added bonus of having the freak show circus down Govan way to contend with for their stints.
Trebles are so easily lost in a one off fixture and to win two back to back is nothing short of extraordinary.
Rodgers will not care what kudos he gets outwith the club and his own support but it does shine a light on Scottish Football who seem eager to diminish achievements by a club who have done everything the right way.
