Scotland drew three-all with Norway on Sunday evening. Former Celtic man Mohamed Elyounoussi bagged a crucial late equaliser for his nation.
After the match, the now-Copenhagen player admitted he had fond memories of playing at Hampden, and that this meant he anticipated he’d score. Elyounoussi said (NTB via Daily Record): “That’s almost how I expected it from myself. I have good memories from here, also from this stadium, with trophies and goals. It was almost like it was written down that I was going to score.”

With the Hoops, the now 29-year-old played at Scotland’s national stadium four times. Twice were in semi-finals and the other two were in cup finals.
In all four appearances in the Southside of Glasgow, Elyounoussi grabbed three goals and two trophies – both the Scottish League Cup and Scottish Cup.
He only spent two years at Celtic, but the supporters grew to adorn the Norwegian internationalist. His ability is undoubted, although many Scottish Celtic fans wouldn’t have been pleased to see him find the back of the net on Sunday.
