The Nigerian international is perhaps best remembered by Celtic fans for his role in the club’s famous 2-1 victory over Barcelona in 2012. Ambrose put in a solid performance in that encounter, contributing to one of the most memorable nights in Celtic’s recent history.
While at Celtic, Ambrose proved to be a reliable defender for the most part, despite having his fair share of less-than-stellar moments. His experience will undoubtedly be valuable assets for Queen of the South in League 1, which is managed by his former teammate, Marvin Bartley.
Ambrose’s move to Queen of the South comes on a free transfer after he spent the summer trialling with Cove Rangers. As he embarks on this new chapter in his career, fans of Scottish football will be keen to see how he contributes to his new club in the upcoming season.
