It was a strange day at Celtic Park with the bhoys 2-0 up and cruising thanks to goals from Scott Sinclair and Odsonne Edouard. However, the complexion of the game would change significantly when Motherwell took advantage of a situation to pull themselves a goal back.

Celtic kicked the ball out so Ryan Christie could receive treatment and with the game about to restart the bhoys were expecting Motherwell to return the ball to them. However, the Steelmen shamelessly decided to take advantage of the situation and grab a goal by attacking Celtic when they didn’t think it was coming.

This lead to Celtic Park erupting in a chorus of boos and made the stadium a cauldron of hostile atmosphere for the second half. Celtic were clearly rattled by the goal when they were in full control before the incident.

It took until the 87th minute, but the bhoys put it beyond Motherwell for sure when Edouard stepped up and smashed a free kick over the wall and in off the underside of the bar.

Insult to injury for the embarrassed Motherwell came on the 90th minute when super sub Oli Burke came on and grabbed Celtic’s fourth of the afternoon
