Celtic have reportedly shown an interest in Cameroon striker Jean-Pierre Nsame.
While the Hoops get their house in order – scouts at the club will still be making up a list of potential targets for any new man coming in.
Nsame currently plays for Young Boys in Switzerland and has been prolific for the Super League outfit.
TeamTalk claims Celtic are just one of a number of clubs to show an interest in the frontman. Several EPL clubs have been watching the 27-year-old’s progress throughout the season.
Celtic are pretty much paralysed by not having a new manager or sporting director officially in place to make the big decision.
There’s no doubt the club are going to have to spend some serious money. Nsame is valued by TransferMarkt at £6m.
This season, Nsame has scored 25 goals and earned 9 assists in 38 appearances for his club.
Odsonne Edouard is more than likely to move on in the summer and the bhoys need serious firepower to return to winning ways come next season.
Nsame looks to fir the profile of what we’re looking for. But again, we can’t really progress initial interest until the pieces are in place.
