Eddie Howe to Get Final Say on Striker

It’s being reported A decision on Leigh Griffiths’ contract will NOT be made until a new manager comes in.

RecordSport claim a decision has to be made by the end of April but the paper revealed the striker has been told the new manager will get the final say.

Leigh wants to stay at Celtic and will likely be happy to wait on the new boss coming in before his future is sorted one way or the other.

The striker has had a troubled season, struggling for fitness and game time.

Eddie Howe looks set to become the manager and he likes his players to be as fit as they possibly can. From what we’ve been told about Howe, he doesn’t like to carry passengers.

Eddie unceremoniously dumped Jermain Defoe from his Bournemouth side because he wasn’t happy with the players level of training.

Leigh has always had to prove himself especially fitness wise. At 30, it doesn’t get any easier for the player but if he wants to stay, he must show fire.
