EDDIE HOWE’s name has constantly been linked with the Celtic job, even before Neil Lennon resigned as manager.
The Englishman is looking to get back into football and his profile to this point makes him one of the most outstanding candidates Celtic could secure.
As the days and weeks tick down, it’s vital the club make the decision over the new manager.
Speaking to Sun Sports, Alan Stubbs believed Howe is the man for the job:
“Celtic have got a huge challenge on their hands now.
“It’s so important the managerial appointment that they make. Looking at all the candidates that are there right now, for me Eddie Howe jumps out as the best one for it.
“I think he’s a really good coach. He’s done really well at Bournemouth in terms of the job he did keeping them in the Premier League for years.
“At this moment looking at the list of names that is there, Eddie Howe would be the one for me.”
Celtic have been going about their business very quietly to this point. The Parkhead club has said very little to push the narrative on one candidates direction.
I think now season ticket renewals are just around the corner, we can expect some movement.
A new manager being announced before hand to take over in the summer seems like the best way to go forward.
Celtic fans have an idea of the board’s ambition and can choose whether to put their hands in their pocket during this difficult financial time for just about every one.
