It’s been reported Eddie Howe has sought the advice from former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers over the past few weeks as Celtic talks progressed.
The Hoops are looking to appoint their new manager in the coming weeks but since the Easter break, there’s been nothing new to report.
The Mirror claims Howe and Rodgers have spoke at length about the club and the job in general.
The Leicester boss won’t be able to vouch for Dominic McKay and would have warned any manager about the perils of a Peter Lawwell regime.
Thankfully that’s not going to be something a new manager has to deal with.
Rodgers would have given him the lowdown on some of the players who are still there from his time and the staff behind everything.
Dominic McKay starts his job on Monday in tandem with Peter Lawwell who will walk off into the sunset this June.
It’s all about getting the best manager for the job and it still appears Eddie Howe is that man at the moment.
