We reported earlier today that Leicester’s interest in Kristoffer Ajer has cooled or just not been there with the defender not on Brendan Rodgers list of targets.

However, interest in the player or perceived interest is still being reported in Italy with AC Milan being touted as a suitor for the player’s signature.

Ajer has the potential to be a top star, there’s no doubt about it, but some of the clubs he’s been linked with thus far have been heavy hitters. Would the Norweigan be ready for that step in his career?

Calcio Mercato are claiming Celtic are rubbing their hands at a potential £25m bidding war for their defender.

Celtic supporters seem cool about the whole thing. We know Kristoffer is a good talent but unlike other players who have left in the recent past, there would be an acceptance that the big man would be replaceable and if the money wasn’t anywhere near £25m, Celtic could not turn it down.
