This agreement was finalised after Dundee turned down multiple bids from Hibernian, the highest being £800,000 earlier on deadline day.
McCowan, 26, has been a standout performer at Dundee and his contributions have clearly caught the eye at Celtic Park. This season, he has already made an impact with two goals and an assist in three league games, along with one goal and five assists in five League Cup appearances.
Celtic’s move for McCowan not only strengthens their squad but also helps meet the homegrown player quota required for UEFA competitions. His arrival at Celtic comes at a pivotal time as the club aims to bolster their midfield options following the departure of key players earlier in the transfer window.
With the deal set to close before the 11 pm deadline, McCowan is poised to embark on a new chapter in his career at the Scottish champions.
