‘Donkey’ – John McGinn Calls Out Pundit Over Celtic Comments

Aston Villa and Scotland international midfielder, John McGinn has called out Gary Breen and branded him a ‘Donkey’ after his comments surrounding Shane Duffy.

Earlier today, the former Ireland international had criticised the 28-year old defender for his to Scotland because of the ‘lack of quality’ that the league possess, which he claimed could affect his international chances for Ireland.

McGinn is currently one of the star men of the Aston Villa side which managed to stay in the Premier League last season and was arguably their most consistent performer alongside Jack Grealish up until he picked up an injury.

Many will know the history of the Scottish International, who played for both St Mirren and Hibernian. The 25-year old was part of the transfer scandal during the 2018/19 season, that saw former manager, Brendan Rodgers becoming extremely frustrated at not signing the then Hibs midfielder

He ended up joining Villa whilst they were in the English Championship, despite him admitting his love for the Hoops, as the Celtic board just took too long to make a deal possible.

Playing in both Scotland and England, McGinn will know first-hand, what it is like to play in both leagues and the standard that you have to be at. So it says a lot for him to be calling out Breen on the idiotic comments he made around Duffy.
