CELTIC have this morning confirmed they have signed up another Celtic player on a four-year deal and this time it’s the turn of Scott Bain.
The goalkeeper has not been seen since getting injured earlier this season and since then Fraser Forster has come in and took the gloves. We’re unsure of the player’s fitness status at present but Neil Lennon and the club have shown they have confidence in Scott going forward by tying him down to a new long term deal.
Craig Gordon’s contract runs out at the end of the season and if Celtic can’t do a deal with Southampton for Fraser Forster then Bain will be the only senior goalkeeper at Celtic come the summer.
The goalkeeper rose to prominence at the start of this year under Brendan Rodgers but had a few erratic displays in the early part of this season which left many questioning his position.
There’s no doubt on his day he is a great goalkeeper.
