Done Deal: Celtic Announce Defender on Four-Year Deal

CELTIC have tonight announced the signing of Boli Mbombo from Rapid Vienna on a four-year deal.

The defender has been on the club’s radar all summer and they finally got their man this evening after he arrived this afternoon to conclude the deal.

Boli becomes Neil Lennon’s third signing and has been brought in to be either direct competition for Kieran Tierney or to eventually replace him in the team if the Celtic star moves on this summer.

Celtic haven’t been messing about in this window with three now in the door and it could have been four if David Turnbull passed his medical.

There was a large exodus post-season with contracts running down and loan deals expiring. It was imperative this pre-season to get new faces in to help the team going forward.

Boli looks like an astute signing and will look to come in and make his mark in the team over the coming months.

Kieran Tierney is still recovering from injury at the moment so he may get his chance sooner rather than later.

Welcome Boli!
