Done Deal: Ajeti Leaves Celtic on Season Long Loan

Celtic has confirmed Albian Ajeti has left the club on a season long loan to Sturm Graz.

The Swiss striker will join up with his new side and compete in the Europa League this season.

Anthony Joseph of Sky Sports confirmed Albian was only interested in joining a club who would be participating in European competition.

The striker has been frozen out at Celtic with no chance of game time this season.

Kyogo, Giakoumakis, Maeda and even Abada are ahead of the frontman.

Albian was signed on a big money deal from West Ham and it’s been a real waste of money. The lockdown season with Ajeti in the squad was a disaster. However, the striker did contribute to a couple of wins in Ange Postecoglou’s early tenure.

Could this move pave the way for another player in the door at Celtic? The transfer window closes Thursday at midnight and the Celtic manager won’t rule anything out.
