Popular Croatian journalist Izak Ante Sucic has delivered an update on the state of play regarding the transfer of reported Celtic Target Dominik Livakovic.
Celtic fans have been hopeful the club will use some of the money they got from the Jota deal to make a real statement signing with Dominik on the top of many people’s lists.
According to Sucic on Twitter, the ball is still very much in the player’s court. Fenerbahce are serious about signing him and would have to part with €9m to get their man. However, the goalkeeper is mulling over the transfer and if it’s the best move he can make this summer.

The journalist also revealed on Twitter, despite reports in Scotland Celtic haven’t tabled a bid to this point but didn’t rule out their interest.
The goalkeeping situation isn’t urgent, but a succession plan has to be made. Whether Brendan Rodgers is happy to go ahead with Joe Hart this season to bring in a new number one in the next 12 months, or he wants immediate competition remains to be seen.
The league kicks off in just over a week, and right now, Joe rightfully remains number one.
